What There is to Know About a Chemical Peel? |
While many people have heard of a chemical peel there are things they do not know about it, or even how it is done. The chemical peel is when a chemical solution is placed on the skin that will blister and peel reveling new softer and smoother skin.
One of these peels is done using a combination of glycolic acid, trichoroacetic acid and salicylic acid and is one that is not extremely harsh. This peel can be done quickly and the person is able to resume all activities immediately. This is one of the chemical peels that is used for acne scarring and only affects the outer layer of the epidermis.
The other chemical peels are more aggressive and will take more time to heal, which will mean time off of work and other activities until the healing process has begun and it will take time for the skin to appear normal. |
