Acne is a skin affliction of infected clogged pours, which can be caused by stress, hormones, or be caused by heredity. Rosacea on the other hand is often referred to as adult acne, and in most cases affects fair skinned women that are menopausal. This is also a condition that can run in families, causing redness on the center parts of the face, and comes from blood vessels under the skin that may enlarge and show on the face as small red lines. Acne is most often located in the center of the face on a woman with rosacea.
This condition can worsen for many women when they have flushing on the face from hot drinks, alcohol, or spicy foods. This can make the face appear red and in cases that are severe the redness on the facial skin does not go away even when eating a good diet. The eyes can become swollen and nodules can become painful in some cases. |
