Almost all medicines, oral or topical, have some possible side effects along with the desired benefits. It is not at all mandatory that side effects have to occur. In case of Acnomel Vanishing Cream, skin irritation is a less common or almost rare side effect. There is a slight possibility of resorcinol poisoning associated with this medication. The symptoms of resorcinol poisoning include diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, dizziness, headache, nervousness, shortness of breath, sweating and unusual tiredness or weakness.
There are some other side effects associated with this medicine. But these are of a more mild and temporary nature. They tend to go away with time. However, it is still good to see a doctor when they occur. The more common ones include redness and peeling of skin. This condition is likely to occur a few days after the usage of this medication. In some cases an unusual dryness of skin may also occur. But this is not usually bothersome and is easily treatable.
