Acnomel Vanishing is a typical anti acne medication that combines resorcinol and sulphur. There are certain precautions that must be taken while using this medicine. You must not use abrasive soaps or cleansers or alcohol containing preparations on the same area where you are using this medicine. You also must avoid the usage of any other topical preparation for acne or any preparation that contains a peeling agent; for example benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or tretinoin. You also must not use the cosmetics or soaps that dry the skin or medicated cosmetics on the affected area. Other topical medicine for the skin must also be avoided.
Severe irritation of skin can occur if you are using any of those on the area where you are applying the medication. Topical mercury containing preparations must also not be used on the same area and it may stain the skin black. The medicine can darken light colored hair if used regularly.
You also must consider certain factor before starting off with this medication. These include allergies, interactions with other medications, breast feeding, pediatric and geriatric; to name a few. You must discuss these without your doctor to avoid any possible interactions later on.
