Avita Cream is a human prescription drug with a topical route of administration. It is, in fact, a topical retinoid. It is used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The product must be essentially avoided if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients used in it.
The cream must be applied once a day on the area where the acne lesions have appeared. The time of the evening is ideally suited for the application of the medicine. With the application of the cream, a slight stinging or warm feeling might be experienced. Alterations of the dosage of applications should be done only after careful monitoring.
In the first week of the therapy, you might observe an increase in the number of inflammatory acne lesions. But this must not be a reason for which you discontinue the therapy. In about six week’s time, the medicine is likely to show its positive effects and heal your acne completely. You might still use cosmetics while under the treatment of this medication. But make sure you clean the affected area thoroughly.
When you are using this medication, avoid over exposure to the sun or wind or cold. This might reduce the benefit of the medication and create problems such as blisters. In case, you feel an extreme irritation due to the usage of this medication, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
