There are certain reactions on the skin which may be observed immediately after the application of the drug. These reactions may be observed in the form of unusual dryness on the skin, abnormal irritation, especially on the skin regions surfaced with this medicine, itchiness and more.
Most of these reactions are not persistent and need not be reported to the medical expert. At rare times, the continued application of the medicine may result into an outbreak of allergic reaction. This may be particularly observed in the form of symptoms like unusual swelling around the mouth, lips, tongue, difficulties in breathing, abnormal tightness in the chest, swelling on the treated areas of the skin, redness, and extreme tenderness of the skin, dizziness or excessive drowsiness.
In least common cases, the users of this topical anti-acne treatment may lead to excessive burning sensation on the treated regions, erythema and irritation of the eyes. Some people, in rarest cases, experience unusual inflammation around the eyes, mouth and nose. Apart from these after-effects, discoloration of skin and increased oiliness has also been reported as some of the rarest yet possible side effects of the drug.
