Acne has several different names, because there are different types of acne; a mild form which is a few pimples here and there once in a while, the steady outbreak of pimples and then there is the severe form of acne that has constant breakouts. The most common form of acne is acne vulgaris, and this is acne that can affect people from the age of about ten all the way through their teen years and into their twenties.
The other forms of acne can include cystic acne and acne rosacea, both which usually affect adults and can continue into their forties.
Acne can include whiteheads, blackheads, the common pimple, pustules, and cysts, all that occur when the sebaceous glands are over producing and can affect the facial area, the neck, the back and chest on some people that have more severe acne problems.
