Shedding skin cells can help to promote acne, because it can clog the pores, which is where the hair follicles are located. This means that it can create whiteheads, lead to black heads and pimples. This is where hygiene can play a role in fighting acne, washing the face with a mild product can help to loosen the shedding cells and this will mean they will not have the time to become clogged in the pores along with the over production of oil that can cause breakouts.
It is not possible to see cells with the naked eye, and although they cannot be seen in their natural form, when they clog pores it will result in a swollen bump or in a pimple. There is no way to reduce the amount of shedding cells, the only way to properly deal with them so that they are not able to cause acne is to remove them from the skin.
