The medication Benzaclin gel is intended for application twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before hitting the bed. However, before the application of this gel, it is imperative to thoroughly wash the face with a mild cleanser and allow the skin to dry properly.
Once the skin has been dried, a thin layer of the medicine should be applied evenly to the affected regions. The thinner the layer of this drug, the better would be the skin’s capacity to absorb the medicine. Within a few minutes of application, the medicine would get absorbed and thus disappear from the skin surface.
In case, a slight layer of film of the medicine is still observed on the skin surface, this means that the person has overtly applied the drug. While applying, one should be pay attention to keep this medication away from the sensitive organs like eyes, mouth and nose. In case, the medicine comes in contact with these organs, the person may experience immense irritation and itching.
It should be kept in mind that this anti-acne medication, Benzaclin gel, should be well utilised within 12 weeks. The remaining medication should be thrown or disposed after the passage of 12 weeks.
